I am interested in the ways crafting, art-making, and other design activities can intersect with and enhance equitable learning in both formal and informal environments. Particularly, I seek to design educational experiences in ways that highlight and honor voices and practices that are traditionally minoritized and undervalued in educational settings.
I am a Postdoctoral Scholar in the School of Education and Social Policy at Northwestern University. I earned my PhD, advised by Dr. Kylie Peppler, in Learning Sciences at Indiana University. Currently, I work with Drs. Nichole Pinkard, Sheena Erete, and Denise Nacu on the Digital Youth Divas Project.
